
Trinity Western fifth year forward Tessa Ratzlaff finished the Canada West season with a 35 point, 19 rebound weekend, while shooting 50 percent from the field to lead the Spartans to weekend sweep of the Fraser Valley Cascades. Clinching a home play-off sport for the Spartans.
In Friday’s game the communications student scored 18 points, while adding nine rebounds, and one block to lead the Spartans to a 57-51 victory over the Fraser Valley Cascades.
In the final game of the season Ratzlaff responded with a double-double to help the Spartans clinch a home play-off spot. The communications student had 18 points and 10 rebounds, shooting 62.5 percent from the field to give TWU the weekend sweep with a 75-57 win over the Cascades.
With her 35 point weekend performance Ratzlaff finishes her career with 1,380 career regular season points, putting her 26th all-time in Canada West history.
The 12-8 Spartans will now open the Canada West post season hosting the UNBC Timberwolves on Friday, February 8. Game time at the LEC is set for 7 p.m.
