U SPORTS TOP 10 | WOMEN’S SOCCER JUMPS UP TO NO. 1

LANGLEY, British Columbia – After a pair of impressive wins over the weekend, Trinity Western’s women’s soccer team jumped up to No. 1 in the U SPORTS Top 10.

Coming into the weekend at No. 4, the Spartans beat Victoria 3-1 to open the season Friday before knocking off No. 6 UBC by a 4-1 count Saturday.

The last time TWU was ranked No. 1 in the U SPORTS Top 10 was Oct. 14, 2014. Over the last three seasons, the Spartans were ranked as high as No. 3 in 2017 and made it to No. 2 in both 2015 and 2016.

TWU (2-0-0) is on the road this weekend to play Manitoba Friday (4 p.m. PT) and Winnipeg Saturday (5 p.m.).
