LANGLEY, B.C. – The first-place Trinity Western’s men’s hockey team will play a regular season home game this Friday against the Eastern Washington Eagles in Aldergrove, B.C. at the Aldergrove Community Arena.

THE WEEKEND STORY
• The Spartans (16-4-0-0) saw their BCIHL 11-game winning streak snapped in Saturday night's 5-3 loss to the Simon Fraser Clan.
• With five games still remaining in the regular season, the Spartans are just one win shy of bettering last year’s win total (16-6-0-2). The Spartans best-ever regular season record was in 2014-15 when they went 17-5-0-2.
• Friday’s contest will feature the top two goal-scorers in the BCIHL, with TWU’s Brayden Brown (Calgary) and Eastern Washington’s Beau Walker (West Richland, Wash.) tied for first with 14 goals each.
• Beau Walker (West Richland, WA) is currently second is the league for points, with 14 goals and 11 assists.
• Evan Last (Surrey, B.C.) is currently third in the league for points, with nine goals and 14 assists.
• Spartans defenceman Elijah Vilio (Aldergrove) scored his first two goals in his TWU career in their last game against SFU.
• Sixth-place Eastern Washington lost its last game against Vancouver Island 2-0.
• Eastern Washington will look to break its four-game losing streak in games against TWU this year. The Eagles have not yet beaten the Spartans this season.
