On the match
"It was an exciting game. I was proud of my young guys today. They went out and a lot of them were playing different roles. It was good to see they were ready to take on a battle. That's what we got today. The game could have gone either way."

  • Prior to the match TWU was already locked into second spot in the Pacific Division. They could not catch first placed UBC, nor could they be caught by any of the teams below them in the standings.
  • Today's match was a rescheduled game from August 26th.  That match was postponed due to smoky conditions caused by the summer wildfires in the Okanagan.
  • TRU outshot Trinity Western 12-9, with both teams having three corner kicks.
  • The Spartans did not dress Leighton Johnson, Domenic Poletto, Jacob Low, and Bryce Prochanau.

This was the Spartans last match of the Canada West regular season, TWU has clinched a host play-off spot and will play the quarter final match on Saturday, October 27. Match time is set for 7:30 p.m. at Chase Office Field. The WolfPack will close out their season next weekend (Oct 20-21) when they host the University of Victoria Vikes and the UBC Thunderbirds.
