  • FOUR SPARTANS SET TO COMPETE AT 2017 SUMMER UNIVERSIADE

    LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western will be well-represented at this year’s Summer Universiade, with current Spartan Regan Yee (South Hazelton, B.C.) joined by three TWU alums, in James Linde (Coquitlam, B.C.), Nathan George (Coquitlam) and Nikki Cornwall (Coquitlam), as they don the Maple Leaf, Taipei City.
  • SECOND FISU APPEARANCE MEANS SECOND CHANCE FOR YEE

    Regan Yee is heading back to the FISU Games for a second time. She’s no stranger to the Summer Universiade – just two years ago she finished seventh in the women’s 3000m steeplechase in Gwangju, South Korea, and now she takes a run at the 1500m in Taipei City.

    LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western University will have three athletes representing Canada at the 2017 Summer Universiade (FISU) in Taiwan, with track and field stars Regan Yee (South Hazelton, B.C.), Nathan George (Coquitlam, B.C.) and James Linde (Coquitlam) set to compete in the biennial FISU (Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire) competition Aug. 19-30.

    LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western will be well-represented at the 2017 Canadian Track & Field Championships this weekend in Ottawa, as 13 Spartan athletes, including incoming and current students as well as alumni will compete on the national stage, starting Friday at the Terry Fox Athletic Facility.

    LANGLEY, British Columbia – Soon-to-be Spartans sprinter Ben Tjernagel (New Westminster, B.C.) put on quite a show at the 2017 B.C. High School Track and Field Championships, capturing gold in the 200m and silver in the 100m to lead this year’s TWU recruitment class at the provincial meet at Langley’s McLeod Athletic Park.

    EDMONTON – Trinity Western’s Regan Yee (South Hazelton, B.C.) led the way once again for the Spartans as she finished fourth in the 1500m at the 2017 U SPORTS Championships, while Declan White (South Surrey, B.C.) was eighth in the 1500m Saturday at the Universiade Pavillion on the campus of the University of Alberta.

    EDMONTON – Trinity Western’s Regan Yee (South Hazelton, B.C.) earned a silver medal in the 3000m to earn the Spartans their first podium finish of the U SPORTS championships Friday at the University of Alberta’s Universiade Pavillion.

    REGINA – Trinity Western’s Mirelle Martens (Grande Prairie, Alta.) won her second medal at the Canada West championships, adding a 1500m bronze to the 3000m silver she won Friday to cap a strong performance at the conference meet.
