    LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western’s volleyball programs will be well represented this weekend in Edmonton as two alums from the women’s team will represent Canada in the NORCECA Women’s Challenge Cup (May 17-20), while two current Spartans and one alum from the men’s team will compete for Canada in a pair of exhibition contests against Mexico (May 16 and 18).

    EDMONTON – Led by fifth year middle Katelyn Devaney (Port Coquitlam, B.C.), with 13 blocks and 13 kills, the No. 10 Trinity Western Spartans team defeated the MacEwan Griffins 3-1 to complete a two game sweep of the Griffins Saturday night at David Atkinson Gym in Edmonton. The 25-14, 25-22, 24-26, 25-15 victory gives the Spartans an eight game winning streak and improves TWU to 9-3, while the loss keeps the Griffins winless at 0-12.
