LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western third-year keeper Yasime Pahal (Surrey, B.C.) has been named the Canada West BioSteel women's soccer player of the Week.
Oct. 24 vs MacEwan: 4 saves, 0 goals allowed in 1-0 win
The psychology student was instrumental in Trinity Western's 1-0 quarter-final win over MacEwan, helping the Spartans reach the CW Final Four for the 24th time in the last 25 years. Pahal made four saves in the win, highlighted by a pair of brilliant back-to-back saves early in the second half to maintain the Spartans' one-goal lead.
Pahal and the Spartans will now take on the Calgary Dinos in the Canada West Semifinals at the Canada West Final Four at UBC in Vancouver, B.C. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m. (PT) at Ken Woods Field in Vancouver and can be seen live on Canada West TV.
