Oke Okumo (Airdrie, Alta.) finished third in long jump, jumping a personal-best 6.99m on Saturday at the UW Classic.
First-year
Camron Lockyer (Langley, B.C.) didn't trail far behind in the contest as well, leaping a personal-best of 6.96m himself.
For the women, Ana Fonseca (Mexicali, Mexico) cleared a personal best of 3.79m in the pole vault to finish fifth at the UW Classic on Saturday. Fonseca's personal record slots her atop Canada West's pole vaulting leaderboards, and sixth in U SPORTS (per
trackie.ca).
In addition, Sheleena Wiley (Langley, B.C.) put forth an impressive performance in long jump, posting 5.55m to finish fourth in the competition.
