LANGLEY, B.C. –Trinity Western forward Charles Nana (Calgary, Alta.) is the Spartan Male Athlete of the Week after notching a goal on three shots as the Spartans earned two points with two ties against the Victoria Vikes and the UBC Thunderbirds on the road this past weekend.

On Friday night the third-year biology student had two shots and a shot on goal as the Spartans tied the Vikes 1-1 in Victoria.

Nana followed up on Saturday night by making the most of his one-shot by scoring a beautiful goal to lead the Spartans to a 1-1 tie against the No. 1 Thunderbirds.

Nana is currently second in Canada West in goals with three on the season.

TWU is now 3-0-3 to remain unbeaten after the first three weekends for the first time since 2012.

The Spartans will stay on the road trip next weekend, September 16. TWU will travel to Calgary to take on the Calgary Dinos on Saturday afternoon at 2:15 p.m. The match can be seen live on Canada West TV.
