LANGLEY, B.C. –Trinity Western forward Olivia Kranjcec (Okotoks, Alta.) is the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week after notching a goal on two shots as the Spartans earned three points on the road this past weekend with a win against the Victoria Vikes and a tie with the Mount Royal Cougars.

On Friday night the third-year Human Kinetics student played a full 90 minutes as the Spartans defeated the Vikes 4-1 in Victoria.

Kranjcec followed up on Sunday afternoon with a goal and two shots to lead the Spartans to a 1-1 tie against the Mount Royal Cougars.

So far this season Kranjcec has played 425 minutes of a potential 450 minutes of the Spartans' first five matches.

The Spartans, 2-1-2, will stay on the road next weekend, September 16-17. TWU will travel to Calgary to take on the Calgary Dinos on Saturday afternoon at 12 p.m., and then head to Lethbridge to take on the Lethbridge Pronghorns at 12 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. Both matches can be seen live on Canada West TV.
