LANGLEY, B.C. –Trinity Western’s Constance Nankivell (Edinburgh, Scotland) is the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week. Competing in her first-ever race as a Spartan, Nankivell won the Pacific Lutheran Invitational in a time of 21:01.1 over a six-kilometer course.
The MBA student finished the course nearly 40 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher from Seattle Pacific.
Schools competing in the event included (NCAA Div II, NCAA Div. III, NAIA): Pacific Lutheran, Seattle Pacific, Simon Fraser, Evergreen State, Northwest, Pacific, Puget Sound, Whitman, and Whitworth, as well as a number of junior colleges.
Next up for Nankivell, and the rest of the Spartans women’s and men’s team, will be the Bill Roe Western Washington Classic this Saturday, September 23 at Lake Padden Park in Bellingham, WA.
