LANGLEY, B.C. –Trinity Western midfielder Lauren Spiller (Surrey, B.C.) is the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week after notching three goals and an assist on five shots on goal to lead the Spartans to two wins this weekend.

On Friday night the first-year Psychology student played 66 minutes and had two goals and an assist as the Spartans defeated the Regina Cougars 4-0 at Chase Office Field.

Spiller followed up on Saturday night with another goal and two shots on goal to help the Spartans to a 3-0 win over the Saskatchewan Huskies.

The Spartans, 5-1-3, will stay at home this weekend, September 29-30. TWU will host the UBC Okanagan Heat on Friday night at 6 p.m., and then the Thompson Rivers WolfPack on Saturday night at 5 p.m. Both matches can be seen live on Canada West TV.
