LANGLEY, B.C. –Trinity Western forward Luca Alberti (Burnaby, B.C.) is the Spartan Male Athlete of the Week after scoring his first two goals of the season on eight total shots to help lead the Spartans to two wins over Fraser Valley this weekend.
The Friday night the third-year general studies student scored two goals on four shots in 80 minutes to lead the Spartans to a 5-2 win over the Fraser Valley Cascades at Chase Office Field.
Then on Saturday night, Alberti played 75 solid minutes and had four total shots to help the Spartans to a 2-1 win over the Cascades in Abbotsford, B.C.
The Spartans are off this weekend but will return home for seniors weekend October 20-21. TWU will host UBC on Friday, October 20, and the Victoria Vikes on Saturday, October 21

As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 13 sports in the Canada West conference, including women's and men's soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey, cross country and track & field, as well as women's rugby sevens.
