LANGLEY, B.C. –Trinity Western midfielder Erin Stewart (Winnipeg, Man.) is the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week after notching two goals on three shots on goal to lead the Spartans to victory in their lone match this weekend.

On Sunday afternoon the third-year psychology student played 61 minutes scoring two goals on four total shots as the Spartans defeated the Fraser Valley Cascades 3-0 at Chase Office Field.

Stewart now has four goals on the season and is tied for fourth on the Spartans.

The second-place Spartans, 8-1-3, are back home this weekend for senior weekend October 13-14. The Spartans will host the Mount Royal Cougars on Friday night at 6 p.m. and the Victoria Vikes on Saturday night at 5 p.m.
