LANGLEY, B.C. –Trinity Western defence Ella Boon (Vanderhoof, B.C.) is the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week after notching three assists on eight shots to help lead the Spartans to a weekend road sweep in Regina, Sask. this past weekend.
On Friday night the second-year had four shots and one assist to help lead the Spartans to a 2-1 victory over the Regina Cougars in Regina, Sask.
On Saturday night the business student had two assists on another four shots as the Spartans swept the Cougars with a 5-2 victory.
The Spartans, who are unbeaten in regulation at 3-0-1, have a home-and-home series this week with the UBC Thunderbirds. Friday the Spartans will travel to Vancouver, B.C. for a 7 p.m. game and then return home for a 7 p.m. game at the Langley Events Centre on Saturday night.
