LANGLEY, B.C. –Trinity Western middle Kaylee Plouffe (Sherwood Park, Alta.) is the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week after having back-to-back career nights while leading the Spartans to a weekend sweep of the Fraser Valley Cascades this past weekend at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C.

On Friday night the third-year had a career best 15 kills, with five blocks and three aces, while hitting at .367 to lead the Spartans to a 3-1 win over the Cascades.

On Saturday night the human kinetics student bettered last night’s totals with 16 kills, five blocks, while hitting at .500 to give the Spartans at 3-0 win and a weekend sweep of the Cascades.

The Spartans, who are 2-0, are on the road this coming weekend to face the Winnipeg Wesmen Friday and Saturday night in Winnipeg, Man. Both games can be seen live on Canada West TV.
