LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western outside hitter Kirsten Kampman (Chilliwack, B.C.) is the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week. Kampman finished last weekend averaging 2.6 kills/set, and 1.23 digs/set while hitting at .283, with six service aces to help lead the No. 2 Spartans to a weekend sweep of the Regina Cougars in Regina, Sask.

On Friday night the fourth-year business student had a career-high 12 kills, 11 digs, along with two aces to help the Spartans to a 3-1 (25-23, 29-27, 23-25, 25-12) win over the Cougars.

On Saturday night Kampman followed up with nine kills while hitting at .308 to go with six digs, four aces, and two blocks as the Spartans defeated the Cougars 3-1 (15-25, 25-19, 25-13, 25-16) to improve to 8-0 on the season.

Kampman is currently first on the Spartans with 13 service aces, and third with 2 kills/set, and 1.64 digs/set.

TWU will match up this weekend at home with the Saskatchewan Huskies. Match times at the Langley Events Centre on Friday and Saturday are set for 5 p.m. (PT) and 4 p.m. (PT).
