LANGLEY, B.C. –Trinity Western Sam Tsoi (Hong Kong, China) is the Spartan Male Athlete of the Week after helping the Spartans to a 2-1 record and a fifth-place finish at the Canadian University Men’s Rugby Championship this past weekend at the Willoughby Community Park Stadium in Langley, B.C.
The first-year flanker finished the weekend averaging 15 tackles and 5.3 carries per game as the Spartans lost to Guelph 12-10 in the opening match before defeating Calgary 51-12 and Queen’s in a dramatic 27-24 win on Sunday morning to claim fifth place.
TWU will now be off until after the Christmas Holiday. The Spartans will return to action when they host Saint Mary’s on Saturday, January 13. The match can be seen live on The Rugby Network.
