LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western fullback Matthew Willemse (Pietermaritzburg, South Africa) is the Spartan Male Athlete of the Week after scoring 13 of the Spartans' 18 points this past weekend against UBC.

The fourth-year scored one try, two penalties, and one conversion in the Spartans 61-18 loss to the Thunderbirds Saturday afternoon at Willoughby Community Park Stadium in Langley, B.C.

The Spartans will return to action on Saturday, September 14 when they will host the Pacific Pride. Match time at the Langley Rugby Club is set for 2:30 p.m. (PT).
