LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western midfielder Sophie Crowther (New Westminster, B.C.) is the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week after notching a game-winning goal, and a game-winning assist in the Spartans' two wins this past weekend.

On Friday night in a 2-1 win against the Thompson Rivers WolfPack, the third-year scored the Spartans' game-winning goal in extra time. Crowther finished the contest with two shots on goal.

On Saturday night the education student assisted on the Spartans' lone goal in the 70th minute, while adding three shots on goal, to help lead TWU to a weekend sweep of the Okanagan with a 1-0 win over the UBC Okanagan Heat.

The No. 3 ranked Spartans are now 2-0 after the weekend and will host the Victoria Vikes and the Mount Royal Cougars this weekend. Match times at Chase Office Field are set for 5 p.m. (PT) on Friday against the Vikes, and 6:00 p.m. (PT) Saturday against the Cougars. Both games can be seen live on Candawest.tv.
