LANGLEY, British Columbia – For the second time this season Trinity Western fullback Matthew Willemse (Pietermaritzburg, South Africa) has been named the Spartan Male Athlete of the Week, after an impressive showing against the No. 2 Victoria Vikes.
The fourth-year finished the match with 21 points, scoring two try’s, one drop goal, and four conversions in the Spartans 40-36 loss to the Vikes at the Langley Rugby Club in Langley, B.C.
The Spartans will be back in action this coming Saturday, September 28 when they will travel to play the Pacific Pride.
