LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western men’s rugby flanker/8th man Genaro Gandolfo (Buenos Aires, ARG) has been named the Spartan Male Athlete of the Week after an outstanding performance in the Spartans historic 34-27 win over the No. 2 Victoria Vikes Saturday afternoon in at Wallace Field in Victoria, B.C.
In the victory over the Vikes Gandolfo finished the match with 12 total carries, one line break, one try on offence and 28 total tackles with zero missed tackles on defence.
The win was TWU’s first-ever road win and first-ever win over the Vikes in an 80-minute Coastal Cup contest.
