LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western men’s hockey forward Christian Lowe (Port Moody, B.C.) has been named the Spartan Male Athlete of the Week after finishing with two goals, and four assists and helping to lead the Spartans to a weekend sweep over the Regina Cougars.
On Friday night the second-year business student had two goals on three shots in the Spartans 4-1 victory over the Cougars. Then on Saturday night Lowe finished with four assists and three shots in TWU’s 6-2 win over Regina.
The weekend sweep was TWU’s first-ever wins (2-8) over the Regina Cougars.
Lowe and the 2-6 Spartans will now head to Saskatoon, Sask. to play the Saskatchewan Huskies on November 8-9, with both games available on Canada West TV.
