LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western first-year wing Kelsa Kempf (Langley, B.C.) has been named the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week after helping to lead the Spartans to a third-place finish, 3-2, at this weekend’s Canada West Rugby 7’s series tournament at the Willoughby Stadium at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C. The third place secured the Spartans a Canada West bronze medal finish for the 2025 season.

The first-year human kinetic student led the Spartans with five tries and 25 points over the weekend. Her 25 points ranked her fourth in tournament scoring on the weekend.

Kempf and the Spartans will conclude their season on March 29 when they travel to Cambridge, Massachusetts to take on the Harvard Crimson 7’s.
