LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western midfielder Sophie Crowther (New Westminster, B.C.) is the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week after a four-assist road weekend against the UBC Okanagan Heat and the Thompson Rivers WolfPack.
 
On Friday night, in the Spartans' 4-2 win over UBC Okanagan, the fourth-year had three assists with four total shots and two shots on goal in 77 minutes in Kelowna, B.C.
 
On Saturday night, the education student played a full 90 minutes, finishing with one assist, three total shots, and two shots on goal, in the Spartans' 2-1 loss to the Thompson Rivers WolfPack in Kamloops, B.C.
 
After two weeks of conference road games, the Spartans will now have their Canada West home opener on Friday, September 12, when they will host the Victoria Vikes at Chase Office Field. The Spartans defeated Victoria 2-1 in the Canada West opener on August 22 in Victoria, B.C. Kickoff for this Friday's match is set for 5 p.m. (PT) and can be seen live on Canadawest.tv.

As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 13 sports in the Canada West conference, including women's and men's soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey, cross country and track & field, as well as women's rugby sevens.
