LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western fifth-year midfielder Erin Stewart (Winnipeg, Man.) is the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week after helping lead the Spartans to a 2-1 win over the Fraser Valley Cascades this past Friday at Rotary Stadium in Abbotsford, B.C.

On Friday night, in the Spartans' win, the psychology student assisted on third-year forward Mansha Sidhu’s (Surrey, B.C.) game-winning goal and added a shot on goal while playing the full 90 minutes. Â

Stewart and the rest of the No. 10 Spartans will now return home to host the Thompson Rivers WolfPack and the UBC Okanagan Heat on Friday, September 26, and Saturday, September 26. Both games have a 6 p.m. (PT) kickoff and can be seen live on CanadaWest.TV.
