LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western fifth-year guard David Mutabazi (Delta, B.C.) is the Spartan Male Athlete of the Week after averaging 15.5 points/game, six rebounds/game, and four assists/game in the Spartans' two weekend losses.
 
On Friday, the psychology student finished with 26 points, six rebounds, and four assists in the Spartans' 98-91 win over the top-ranked Victoria Vikes in Victoria, B.C. In Saturday’s tough loss to the UBC Thunderbirds, Mutabazi finished with five points, six rebounds, and four assists in 23 minutes.
 
Mutabazi and the Spartans will return to action this weekend, October 31 and November 1, when they host the Fraser Valley Cascades at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C. The games are scheduled for 8 p.m. (PT) and 6 p.m. (PT) and can be seen live on Canada West TV.

As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 11 sports in the Canada West conference, including women's and men's soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey and track & field, as well as women's rugby sevens. TWU also competes as in the NAIA in track and field and cross country and as an independent team in men's rugby and women's and men's disc golf.
