LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western fourth-year outside Maryn Boldon (Okotoks, Alta.) is the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week after setting a Spartans single-game record for kills in a match with 26 in her first match of the weekend against the Winnipeg Wesmen in Winnipeg, Man.

On Friday night, the human kinetics student finished with 26 kills, 11 digs, and one block to lead the Spartans to a 3-2 win over the Wesmen. Then on Saturday night, Boldon followed up with 13 kills, 15 digs, and one block to lead the Spartans to a 3-0 win over the Wesmen.

The previous TWU kill record was 25, held by Kara Jansen Van Doorn (2x) and, most recently, by Sophie Carpentier on February 12, 2016, at Thompson Rivers.

Boldon and the Spartans will now return home for a pair of matches with the Calgary Dinos on November 7-8. Game times are set for 5 p.m. (PT) and 4 p.m. (PT) and can be seen live on Canada West TV.
