LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western midfielder Justin Oh (Busan, South Korea) is the Spartan Male Athlete of the Week after helping the Spartans to a weekend split with a win over the UBC Okanagan Heat and a loss to the UBC Thunderbirds.
Â
The second-year midfielder played a full 90 minutes and was instrumental in a season-opening 3-1 win over the UBC Okanagan Heat in the season opener on Thursday in Kelowna, B.C., and continued his strong play through the first half in the 3-0 loss to the UBC Thunderbirds in the Spartans' home opener on Saturday night at Chase Office Field in Langley, B.C.
Â
A season-ending injury took him out just before halftime against UBC, but the rookie had already made an immediate impact within our team!
Â
The 1-1 Spartans will now head to Vancouver, B.C., for a rematch with the UBC Thunderbirds in a midweek match on Wednesday at 7 p.m. (PT) at Thunderbird Stadium and then return home for a match with the Fraser Valley Cascades on Friday at 7:15 p.m. (PT) at Chase Office Field. Both matches can be seen live on Canadawest.tv.
