DELTA, B.C. – In just their second exhibition game as a varsity program, the Trinity Western Spartans defeated Rink Hockey Academy Kelowna (RHA) 3-0 Friday at Planet Ice Delta.

AS IT HAPPENED
Chantel Weller (Saskatoon, Sask.) backstopped the Spartans in the win with her first shutout for TWU. Chloe Reid (Leduc, Alta.) paced TWU on offence, potting two goals in the win. It was the second consecutive game Reid has found the back of the net. 

NEED TO KNOW

• The Spartans were coming off a 6-5 loss to RHA last Saturday (Oct. 17).
• TWU will look to pick up its second consecutive win Saturday (2:15 pm) against Delta Hockey Academy.
• TWU was initially supposed to play this season as a member of the Canada West conference, before the 2020-21 season was canceled following recommendations by the CW Board of Directors based on information provided by the CW COVID-19 task force.
• The Spartans are playing exhibition games against a variety of teams as part of the CSSHL (Canadian Sport School Hockey League) Return to Play.
