LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western forward
Kathryn Harvey (Coquitlam, B.C.) has been named Canada West's Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week after scoring both goals en route to winning the 2021 Canada West Championship.
Harvey, who was also named Spartan Female Athlete of the Week, capped off an excellent 11-0-1 Canada West campaign for the Spartans as the senior forward's goals stood as game winners.
Harvey's major highlight lies in the 88
th minute goal she scored in Saturday's final against UBC. This historic goal sealed the deal for the Spartans as they cruised to their ninth Canada West Championship since 2003.
As a Canada West Second Team All-Star, Harvey's weekend of excellence is one of many memorable moments compiled throughout the 2021 season.
After the team's victorious weekend, Harvey and the Spartans will travel to Sydney, N.S. to compete at the 2021 U SPORTS Championships, hosted by Cape Breton from Nov. 18
