The Spartans were deadlocked with Western Washington the entire game. With the majority of the game's action occurring in the midfield, scoring chances were few and far between.
QUOTABLE
TWU Head Coach Graham Roxburgh
"I thought our execution in the final third could have been better. There were times we caught them in transition only to play a poor pass, or make the wrong attacking move. Western Washington extremely athletic and they're a good team so we are pleased with the level of compete that we showed in winning the ball back. We still need to capitalize on our clear-cut chances if we want to win games, but I am happy to see the level of effort the team is putting together each game."
