SPARTANS DROP ROAD DECISION AGAINST SFU

BURNABY, B.C. – Trinity Western's women's soccer team were shut out in a 1-0 loss to Simon Fraser. As a result, the Spartans preseason record falls to 1-3-3.

AS IT HAPPENED
The Spartans showed a significant amount of attacking prowess in a game which involved a rotating squad, but were unable to find the back of the net in Burnaby.

QUOTABLE
TWU Head Coach Graham Roxburgh
"This was a good, entertaining exhibition game. It was great to rotate the squad tonight, giving chances to players who haven't been able to get much playing time over the last two weeks. The team was begging for a late goal in the final 30 minutes as they played with an encouraging sense of urgency when we needed to step up to the plate. I thought Olivia Kranjcec (Okotoks, Alta.) stood out and was a constant threat on Simon Fraser's defensive corps and was dangerous throughout the contest."
