SPARTANS CAP PRESEASON WITH WIN OVER VICTORIA

VICTORIA – Trinity Western rounded out its preseason campaign with a 4-0 win over Victoria on the road Saturday afternoon.

The win sees TWU finish the preseason at 2-3-3, including a 2-1-2 record against Canada West competition.

AS IT HAPPENED
The Spartans opened the scoring late in the first half with Kathryn Harvey (Coquitlam, B.C.) burying her opportunity after taking a pass from Anna Dunn (Edmonton). Liz Hicks (Langley, B.C.) doubled TWU's lead early in the second half before a second goal by Harvey and a tally from Jessica Vance (Coquitlam, B.C.) sealed the victory.

QUOTABLE
TWU Head Coach Graham Roxburgh
"It was a good performance and it was good to get lots of minutes for a number of our players. It was a nice way to end the preseason and now we're excited to open our Canada West season on Friday."
