EDMONTON – Trinity Western's women's sevens team finished Edmonton's Canada West 7s Series in Edmonton on Sunday to place sixth.
TWU fell to Lethbride and UBC to cap off the series as their scheduled fifth vs. sixth game was cancelled due to TWU not being able to field enough players.
Issy Scholtens (Langley, B.C.) picked up right were she left Saturday's games, scoring a try against Lethbridge before converting on her own play.
Vlada Shevchenko (Delta, B.C.) capped off TWU's final game of the day by scoring in the final minutes of the match.
The Canada West Rugby 7s tournament will now head to Victoria, as the Vikes host Tournament #2 February 12th and 13th at Wallace Field. UBC will host the final tournament February 25th and 26th in Vancouver.

Issy Scholtens converted her own try after a great linebreak break down the middle of the pitch and outran two Lethbridge players.
