SPARTANS FALL TO GONZAGA

SPOKANE, Washington – Trinity Western fell to Gonzaga 4-0 on Friday at Lurger Field.

The Spartans are 1-2-0 in their Spring season thus far.

AS IT HAPPENED
Gonzaga moved to a swift 3-0 lead in the first half of action, putting the visiting Spartans at odds early in the match.

The deficit the Spartans faced in the first half wasn't one that could be overcome as Gonzaga moved to a 4-0 lead over the match, and a victory as a whole.

QUOTABLE
TWU Head Coach Graham Roxburgh
"I am disappointed in the manner in which we conceded the three goals in the first half. Credit to Gonzaga, they attacked well and punished some naive mistakes. I thought our level of compete was better in the second half, but we need to learn to eliminate silly mistakes because this level of opposition punishes those.

"We can learn from this and we will, so we're glad we have another chance so quickly against another good opponent."

UP NEXT
The Spartans will take on Seattle University on Sunday.
