HARVEY SIGNS FIRST PROFESSIONAL DEAL IN DENMARK

LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western alum Kathryn Harvey ('22, Coquitlam, B.C.) has signed her first professional contract overseas, inking a deal in Denmark with AaB Kvinde Elitefodbold and making her debut over the weekend. 
 
Harvey capped her time with TWU by being named a Canada West Second Team All-Star in 2021, following a regular season in which she scored four goals and tallied four assists. In the final home weekend her TWU career, Harvey scored both game-winners in the semifinals and final of the Canada West Final Four, helping the Spartans win the conference title and being named the CW Athlete of the Week. 
 
In her four years with the Spartans, Harvey scored 20 goals and added nine assists in 52 regular season games. She was twice named a Canada West all-star (2019 and 2021) and was named a tournament all-star at the U SPORTS Championship in both 2018 and 2021. 
 
Harvey is one of five Spartans women's soccer players currently playing professionally, joining Jessica King ('15), Jenaya Robertson ('20), Kristen Sakaki ('20) and Brooklyn Tidder ('20). 
 
About Spartan Athletics
As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 13 sports in the Canada West conference, including women's and men's soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey, cross country and track & field, as well as women's rugby sevens. TWU also competes as an independent team in men's rugby, as well as women's and men's disc golf. Since TWU entered U SPORTS in 1999, the Spartans have won 13 U SPORTS team championships and 32 Canada West team championships.
