LANGLEY, B.C. – Anna Dunn (Edmonton) has been named Spartan Female Athlete of the Week after a two-goal performance against Regina on Sunday.
Dunn's goals came in the 35
th and 45
th minutes of Sunday's match to put Trinity Western up 2-0 over the Cougars at half. The No. 2 ranked Spartans would end up winning the match 4-0.
Dunn also played a significant role in TWU'S lone goal in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Saskatchewan. Dunn relayed the ball to
Sophie Crowther (New Westminster, B.C.), who found
Charis Wardrope (Maple Ridge, B.C.). Wardrope would turn and shoot for her seventh goal of the season.
The No. 2 ranked Spartans now hold a 5-1-0 record with matches at Thompson Rivers (Sept. 23, 5:30 p.m. PT) and UBC Okanagan (Sept. 24, 3:30 p.m. PT) scheduled for the upcoming weekend.
