SPARTANS DRAW WITH WESTERN WASHINGTON

LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western drew Western Washington 2-2 in a spring season bout at Chase Office on Wednesday.

Sierra Halldorson (Winnipeg) highlighted TWU's performance, assisting on goals scored by Tilly James (Vancouver) in the 15th minute, and Lianna Holz (Richmond, B.C.) in the 64th.

For WWU, goals from Clair Potter (58th minute) and a late penalty-kick equalizer by Minji Rauch (88th minute) were enough to level the field. WWU's lone assist came from Morgan Manalili, who did so on Potter's goal.

QUOTABLE
Graham Roxburgh – TWU Head Coach
"I thought there were some positives from our last game of the spring season. It was unlucky giving away a late penalty late in the game – which was our own doing. A lot of younger members of the team got good minutes tonight, and some of them showed how much they've progressed tonight. It was a learning experience, so our naivety didn't give us the best chances in the end. We were punished for that."
