SPARTANS END KEG CUP WITH WIN OVER CASCADES

VICTORIA, British Columbia – The Trinity Western Spartans defeated the Fraser Valley Cascades 2-1 Sunday afternoon in Victoria, B.C. to claim bronze at the annual Keg Cup tournament.

TWU second-year keeper Yasmine Pahal (Surrey, B.C.) earned the win for the Spartans, who were up 2-0 after eight minutes of play and at the half. Fraser Valley scored a late goal to make the final 2-1.

QUOTABLE
TWU head coach Graham Roxburgh
"It was a typical spring game where we got to use everyone, which was useful and informative. Disappointed that we allowed the game to get scrappy, but we can learn a lot from these games.

UP NEXT:
The Spartans will have a few weeks off before they head to Seattle, Wash. to take on Seattle University. Match time on April 6 is set for 3 p.m. (PT).
