QUOTABLE
Trinity Western Head Coach Graham Roxburgh
"Today was better in the first half in terms of our intensity and our threatening their goal. If we were more clinical and sharper, we could have made things a bit more comfortable. I liked our compete level and there were some good individual performances but we need more players to stay focused and to put together a full game. Credit to UNBC they kept battling and made it a game in the second half. Overall, it was a step in the right direction but we need to be smarter with our decisions."

AS IT HAPPENED
The Spartans were in control for the entire first half outshooting the Timberwolves 21-1. Izsak opened the scoring in the 7th minute to put TWU up 1-0. After a number of near misses the Spartans' Field found the back of the net in the 20th minute to put TWU up 2-0 at the half.

The Spartans got an own goal in the 57th minute off of a shot from Sidhu to make it a 3-0 match. The Timberwolves responded immediately and got their lone goal from Turner off a free kick by Maleah Fernie, to make the final 3-1.
