SPARTANS FALL TO VICTORIA VIKES

VICTORIA, British Columbia – A strong match by the Trinity Western Spartans went for not as the No. 6 Spartans fell 1-0 to the Victoria Vikes Sunday afternoon in Victoria, B.C.  The loss drops the Spartans to 4-2-2, while the win lifts the Vikes to 5-1-3.
 
Victoria's Ruby Nicholas took advantage of a Spartan defensive misplay to score the lone goal of the match in the 76th minute and give the Vikes a 1-0 victory.
 
TWU second-year keeper Yasmine Pahal (Surrey, B.C.) made two saves in the loss, while Victoria's Kayley Lidstone made six saves in the shutout victory.

UP NEXT
The Spartans will now head home for games against the UBC Okanagan Heat and the Thompson Rivers WolfPack on Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5. Match times are scheduled for 5 p.m. (PT) and can be seen live on Canada West TV.
