TOP TEN RANKINGS

LANGLEY, British Columbia – In the first U SPORTS Top 10 volleyball polls of the season, the Spartans' men's and women's volleyball teams both debut in the Top 10. In men's rugby, the Spartans remain in the Top 10 despite not qualifying for the national championship.
 
The Spartans volleyball teams are both 2-0 after a bye week as the women debut at No. 7, while the men debut at No. 3. In men's rugby, the Spartans men's rugby team is ranked at No. 8 in the Canadian University Men's Rugby coaches poll.   

 

The men's and women's volleyball teams will resume Canada West play this weekend as they travel to Winnipeg to take on the Winnipeg Wesmen on October 31 and November 1.

As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 11 sports in the Canada West conference, including women's and men's soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey and track & field, as well as women's rugby sevens. TWU also competes as in the NAIA in track and field and cross country and as an independent team in men's rugby and women's and men's disc golf. Since TWU entered U SPORTS in 1999, the Spartans have won 14 U SPORTS team championships and 33 Canada West team championships.
