QUOTABLE
Graham Roxburgh, TWU Head Coach
"Tonight was painful in that we didn't manage their directness well enough, and a few decisions didn't go our way.  Obviously, we needed to throw people forward, and we became susceptible to their counters.  Disappointed for sure in the result and manner in which we conceded, but so proud of our team."

AS IT HAPPENED
The Carabins opened the scoring in the 14th minute. Montreal's Jeanne Even found Ricciardelli open in the TWU penalty area. Ricciardelli made a move to her left and was able to send a ball past a charging Pahal into the right side of the Spartans' net to put the Carabin up 1-0.  Montreal got their second of the match in added time. The Carabins' Even weaved through the Spartans' defenders along the endline and found Sanesac open on the far post, where she found the back of the net to put Montreal up 2-0 after the opening half. The Spartans had the edge in total shots, 6-3, and shots on goal, 4-3, through the first 45 minutes.

Montreal got its third of the night in the 65th minute after winning a battle for the ball in the TWU penalty area. The Carabins' Rafaelle Robitaille-Bourgeois took a hard shot at the TWU net from close range. TWU's Pahal made the save, but the rebound went to an unmarked Cote, who put Montreal up 3-0 with 25 minutes remaining in regulation. The Carabins made it a four-goal win in added time when Trandji was able to chip the ball under the cross-bar to make the final 4-0 for Montreal.
