EARLES MOVES TO NO. 1 IN U SPORTS 300M RANKINGS

SPOKANE, Wash. – Trinity Western's Danny Earles put himself into top spot in the U SPORTS rankings in the 300m after posting a time 21.47 in the 200m Saturday at the Whitworth Invitational at The Podium. Earles 200m time converts to 33.70 over 300m which puts him No. 1 in the national rankings.

Meanwhile, Dajean Clarke was impressive in the heptathlon, as he finished second overall with 4,790 points.

Clarke's heptathlon performance was highlighted Saturday by his clearing of 4.45m in pole vault.

Rui Ramsay crept closer to the TWU 60m record (6.75) with a second-place finishing time of 6.78. Ramsay's time has him now ranked third in Canada West and eighth in U SPORTS.

Caleb Emon cleared 2.00m in high jump to finish third, which put him just three centimetres shy of the TWU record.

Justin Kiplagat (4:17.13) and Yemane Mulugeta (4:17.46) were second and third, respectively, in the mile, while Mulugeta was second in the 3000m (8:15.58).
