FOUR SPARTANS NAMED CANADA WEST ALL-STAR

LANGLEY, British Columbia – Canada West announced their 2025 all-stars Thursday morning with a program-best four Trinity Western student-athletes being selected.
 
Third-year loose head prop Ava Van Santen (Aldergrove, B.C.) was named a first-team all-star after a dazzling campaign where she was the lone player to be named to all three tournaments "Dream Teams." The Spartans also placed a trio on the second team featuring fourth-year centre Jenna de Greeff (Victoria, B.C.). And a pair of rookies with first-year tight head prop Hailey Hibbs (Langley, B.C.), and first-year wing Kelsa Kempf (Langley, B.C.) also on the second all-star team. Hailey Hibbs also received Dream Team honours at the second tournament of the season.
 
Van Santen led the Spartans in scoring with 12 tries and one conversion for 62 points, Kempf was second with eight tries and 40 points, de Greeff was third with five tries, six conversions, and 37 points, and Hailey Hibbs was fourth with six tries and 30 points.
 
The Spartans earned their first-ever Canada West Rugby 7s medal, finishing with a bronze.
 
The Spartans will conclude their season on March 29 when they travel to Cambridge, Massachusetts to take on the Harvard Crimson 7's.

As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 13 sports in the Canada West conference, including women's and men's soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey, cross country and track & field, as well as women's rugby sevens. TWU also competes as an independent team in men's rugby and women's and men's disc golf.
