LANGLEY, British Columbia – This Week In Sparta sees the Spartans return to play with the start of the second semester, with men's and women's volleyball and women's hockey at home, and the men's and women's basketball and men's hockey teams on the road. The volleyball teams will be hosting the Thompson Rivers WolfPack, while the women's hockey team will be hosting the MacEwan Griffins. The Spartans basketball teams are down the road in Vancouver to take on the UBC Thunderbirds, while the men's hockey team is in Edmonton to take on the MacEwan Griffins.

As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 11 sports in the Canada West conference, including women's and men's soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey, and track & field, as well as women's rugby sevens. TWU also competes as in the NAIA in track and field and cross country as an independent team in men's rugby and women's and men's disc golf.
