VANCOUVER, British Columbia– The Trinity Western Spartans finished with one win and two losses on the opening day of the final tournament of the 2026 Canada West 7s Series season, Friday at Thunderbirds Stadium in Vancouver, B.C.
TWU finished with the lone win, 21-10, coming in their opening match against the Alberta Pandas. The Spartans had one of their best matches of the season in their 12-7 loss to the No. 1 and unbeaten UBC Thunderbirds to open the afternoon sessions. After the strong afternoon match, the Spartans had little left for the final match of the day, falling 22-0 to the No. 2 Victoria Vikes.
