VANCOUVER, British Columbia– The Trinity Western Spartans finished with two wins on Day 2 of the final Canada West 7s Series tournament to go 3-2 in the tournament and earn a Canada West bronze medal Saturday at Thunderbird Stadium in Vancouver, B.C.
The Spartans' third-place finish gives them a final Canada West record of 8-6-1 and 18 points. The UBC Thunderbirds earned another Canada West gold medal, finishing the season at 14-1 with 28 points. The Victoria Vikes were second at 13-2 and 26 points.
In their final matches of the Canada West season, TWU opened with a 24-0 win over the Calgary Dinos, then finished the year with a 17-15 win over the Lethbridge Pronghorns to finish the tournament and the season on a high note and earn their second straight Canada West bronze medal.
