LANGLEY, British Columbia – In their final match of the 2026 preseason, the Trinity Western Spartans used three added-time goals to earn a 4-1 win over the visiting UBC Okanagan Heat Friday afternoon at Chase Office Field in Langley, B.C. With the win, TWU finishes the preseason at 5-3-0.
 
TWU fifth-year keeper Yasmine Pahal (Surrey, B.C.) started the match and played the opening 27 minutes. Third-year keeper Emalie Lynn (Surrey, B.C.) played the final 63 minutes to earn the win. UBC Okanagan's Allyson Ford started for the Heat and played 80 minutes, with Kat McCleary playing the final 10 minutes of the match.
Spartans fourth-year forward Lianna Holz (Richmond, B.C.) opened the scoring in the 10th minute. Holz took a pass from fifth-year midfielder Kylie Hendricks inside the box and found the left side of the net to put TWU up 1-0 early.

The Heat evened the match in the 20th minute when Eleni Georgacacos got open in the center of the park. From just outside the top of the box, Georgacacos sent a hard shot into the top left corner of the Spartans' net to even the match at 1-1.

After playing the majority of the second half in the final third, the Spartans were rewarded with three goals in added time. The first came when TWU first-year forward Kallie Geiger (Calgary, AB) beat the left outside back and found fourth-year forward Luciana Andrews (Coquitlam, B.C.) on the near side of the box, where she put the ball just inside the near post. Rookie midfielder Genevieve Murdocco (Coquitlam, B.C.) followed up a minute later when her hard shot from the right side of the box found the top left corner of the UBC Okanagan net to put TWU up 3-1. Andrews then finished the scoring with her second of the afternoon on a goalmouth scramble to seal the Spartans' win.

The Spartans are now 16-0-1 lifetime against the Heat.
